Diwali 06 at Ashdown, MIT

My first Diwali outside India.

It was fun, all 20 of us trying to recall details of how things are done back home.. Is the Aarti done first or Bhog, do we first do the Puja and then Tilak or vice versa?

Oh whatever, let's just do it in random order!

I took this pic on my trip to Louvre recently. It was really tough to take a photograph under flash, due to the thick protective glass in front of the painting. Besides, I wanted to cover the entire painting without the frame. This pic is the uncropped and unedited image.

The reasons for starting this blog :

I read a great post on a friend's blog and wanted to leave a comment. But it wouldn't allow an anonymous comment. So grudginly, I decided to take the plunge myself. I dont know how regularly I'll be able to post. But as long as it stays in the Beta version, who cares ?
